Karara Mine Site FOC Install

In 2010, Dunstans Construction Group was contracted by Silcar to install 15km of dual Fibre Optic Cables (FOC) in 63mm conduit, on the Karara Mine site in Western Australia.

Our team was contracted to complete the FOC installation due to
our state-of-the-art equipment and proven ability to deliver projects
in environmentally harsh, remote locations.

  • Our site team utilised excavators to trench and prepare for the
FOC conduit. Once installation of the FOC was preformed / completed, the trench was backfilled, compacted and marker
    posts were installed.
  • Dunstans worked closely in collaboration with Silcar to splice
    and test the installed conduit.

Dunstans completed the project with great success, meeting the client’s expectations and milestones, and satisfying all safety and quality standards.
